Paulina
Paulina Rosson is a dancer, choreographer and dance teacher with a lot of experience in different dance styles who has studied in different countries throughout her life. To share her dance knowledge and inspire through performances is her biggest passion!
Currently Paulina works mainly teaching Oriental Belly dance, different Jazz styles, Ballet and some Latin American dance styles in schools across Southern Sweden. At the same time she is a free-lance choreographer and performer as a solo artist or with established groups, for example her student Bellydance showgroup, Jannah.
Through the years she has been jury in "Danskarusellen" in Sweden and in internationall competitions such as "El templo de las Diosas" and The Show Bellydance queen.
Paulina is since 2017 part of the Bellydance Evolutions family. 2023 and 2017 she was part of the company´s European tour in which she also won the People´s Choice Competition in 2017.
2021 she had a leading roll at the Wizard of Oz production by Jillina BDE experience in Danmark.
During 2022 she was part of the "Professional Bellydance company" of Cesar Insaurralde and was part of the show "Spirit" in Madrid.
Paulina has won the following international Bellydance competitions the latest years:
2023: 1st place in the group category with her students show group Jannah at the Leyla Raqs festival in Barcelona.
1st place at the Drum solo, Folklore and Fusion categories and 3rd place at the Oriental dance professional category at the Marhaba festival in Rome.
2022: 1st place at the Drum Solo Live category at Danish Open Bellydance.
1st place at the Professional Fusion category, 2nd place in the Taksim category and 3rd place in the Drum Solo category at the Raks Glam Festival in Poland.
2021: 1st place at the profesional soloist cathegory and the 3rd place at the "Drum Solo Live" and the group cathegory with her students show group at Danish Open Bellydance.
2020: 1st place in the Latin Fusion category and 3rd place in the Professional category at Layali Festival in Stockholm.
1st place on "The show Bellydance queen".
2019: Won "The World Drum Solo Beauty Queen" competition judged by international artists such as; Suraiya Ibrahim, Sadie Marquardt, Aziza, Amir Sofi, Matias Hazrum and Yassir Jamal.
3th place at the Professional Soloist, Live Drum Solo and Oriental Fusion category at Danish Open Bellydance.
Moreover, Paulina is also a founding member and director of Pangea Scenkonst. A performance arts company in which she has worked as a choreographer, dancer and fire artist since 2009.
Paulina's dance education started with Classical Ballet at the age of 6. A few years later she also started to explore other dance styles such as Jazz, Contemporary, Flamenco, Bollywood, African, Street, Oriental Belly dance, Salsa, Samba, Reggaeton, Tango and in 2002 she took her first Bellydance class, it was love at first sight!
In 2010 she started working as a professional Belly Dancer. The same year she finished her 3 years education at Lunds Dans- & Musikalgymnasium. Since then she has been taking classes and working as a dancer and a dance teacher around the world.
